It's Game On!
It's that time of the year when most of us are loaded with projects, assignments, cultural events (school and colleges) and of course our midterms/pre-board exams. Right?
So today we bring to you some time management skills and study tips to help cope with!
1. Create a Calendar
Don't be caught off guard by an important report due in two days or a dinner with your family on the same night you arranged for a group study session. Make a calendar for yourself with all of your upcoming deadlines, examinations, social engagements, and other time commitments so you know what's coming up.
Keep your calendar somewhere you can see it every day, for as in your planner or on the wall above your desk. If you prefer a digital calendar, check it first thing in the morning to keep essential activities fresh and top-of-mind. Make sure you can integrate it with your other technologies, such as Google Calendar and more.
2. Understand How You are Currently Spending Your Time (And Where You Are Losing It)
Your schedule will offer you an ideal version of how you are spending your day, but you need to analyze how you spend your time to develop better time management habits. Without understanding how you are spending your time each day, it is rather impossible to build better time management strategies for you to stay focused.
3. Take Breaks at the Right Time
Take more breaks to manage your productivity over time.
4. Remove Distractions
Between social media, cell phones, and friends, there are so many activities that can distract us from our work. When it is time to get down to doing work, we must try to turn off our cell phones or try to keep them away from one's reach!
5. Avoid Multitasking
It may be tempting to most of us to feel that we can multitask when in reality our schedule is jam-packed. But the more we try to do it at once, the longer each thing takes. Instead, studies have found that deeply focusing on one task at a time can be around 500% more productive.
Study tips coming up soon! Stay tuned!
